Internet Explorer – new version 10

As of our last TechKnowledge newsletter Microsoft released the full version 10 of Internet Explorer. We started testing it right away and so far it is very stable so we are giving it our NTI thumbs up for now. IE version 9 and Google Chrome still have issues stay away from those for now.

Chrome users are on the rise since people gave in to the almost harassing push by Google to upgrade to a better browser. Well it is not a better browser although as of this writing Chrome users have surpassed Internet Explorer users for the time being.

See Compare Browsers page on our site for full details.

Windows 8 –as we predicted

As we mentioned in our last newsletter Windows 8 was not well received and quite buggy out of the gate. The absense of a Start button was a big mistake by Microsoft in our view but we gave you a workaround for that. If you bought an off the shelf computer lately it most likely came preinstalled with Windows 8 whether you wanted it or not.

If you are still in the market for a computer with Windows 7 rest easy. Our full line of QuadStations Systems come standard with tried and true Windows 7 and will for the foreseeble future. Our advice is the same, stay away from Windows 8 if you have a choice. For more details see our Windows 8 article posted on our website.
