You may have heard of Microsoft's new Edge browser for Windows 10 code named Spartan. Microsoft Edge
currently runs only in Windows 10 which is a bummer. Who wants Windows 10 yet.
MS Edge is completely integrated into Windows 10 & a standalone version is not available. Microsoft
has no plans of releasing the Edge browser on other versions of windows
or any other platforms for that matter. That is a shame, so no new
browsers for Windows 7 or 8 users which is what most of the world runs
on right now.
